The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund has announced that it is undertaking a holistic review of its authorizing statute and has scheduled a series of “listening sessions” to generate discussion and interest among CDFI stakeholders. The listening sessions will cover a range of technical and substantive issues, from the CDFI Fund’s flagship programs and certification, to new provisions that could be made to the authorizing statute. Input from the sessions and written comments will be used to formulate future policy and legislative proposals to enhance support to CDFIs. Written comments are due by May 7.
