NCAHMA recently completed a survey of its membership to collect information on members’ market study and appraisal activities and services. Specifically, the survey identified the number of market analysts employed by respondents, and the states in which analysts actively prepare market studies for affordable housing projects.
NCAHMA received responses from 32 member firms indicating that they employ a total of approximately 135 market analysts who prepare about 1,660 reports per year. Many of these same member firms reported that they employ some 239 appraisers performing nearly 10,800 appraisals per year. Respondents are active in 30 states, plus the District of Columbia.
