The Mississippi Home Corporation has released its proposed changes to the 2009 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) for its 2010 allocation round. The draft 2010 QAP has not yet been released by MHC. Key changes proposed by MHC include:
- Creates new section that identifies ineligible applicants;
- Requires applicants to notify MHC in advance of the LIHTC program public hearing;
- Clarifies that requests for additional credits will be considered on a first-come first-served basis;
- Requires owners to begin submitting quarterly status reports after a development is placed-in-service;
- Modifies application, funding and fee schedules, and point scoring criteria; and
- Incorporates language that encourages applicants to refer to NCAHMA’s resources for guidance;
