HUD Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Housing Investments Dominique Blom will be delivering one of the Keynote Addresses at this year’s NH&RA Fall Developers Forum in Boston, November 2-3 at the Taj Hotel. Secretary Blom oversees HUD’s Urban Revitalization – HOPE VI Division as well as its Capital Program Division. Secretary Blom is also playing a leadership role in the design of the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative (CNI), a program proposed in President Obama’s FY-2010 Budget.
NH&RA’s HOPE VI Steering Committee has taken a lead role in discussing how best to implement this critical new program. At NH&RA’s 2009 Summer Institute, the Working Group identified principles that it recommends HUD and Congress consider in designing the Choice Neighborhood Initiative.
