The U.S. Treasury Department recently announced over $90 million in funding awards to five states through the Section 1602 Exchange Program created by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Under the program, more than $3 billion will be made available to state housing agencies to spur the development of affordable housing developments. Last week, the Treasury Department announced the fifth round of recipients:
- $18 million in Colorado;
- $4 million in Delaware;
- $53 million in Illinois;
- $10 million in Maine;
- $4 million in Nebraska.
