The Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) has been granted approval by the federal government to sell off approximately 1,800 vacant properties, mostly located throughout North, West and Southwest Philadelphia. The sale of these properties is part of a restructuring process for PHA, which saw its operating and capital funding reduce as a result of the distressed economy.
