Funding Opportunities
Loan: HUD has issued a notice of funding availability (NOFA) for the Continuum of Care (CoC) Homeless Assistance Program. HUD is making available approximately $1.42 billion in Fiscal Year 2008 for the program. The purpose of the CoC Homeless Assistance Program is to reduce the incidence of homelessness in CoC communities by assisting homeless individuals and families to move to self sufficiency and permanent housing. Tax Credit: The Louisiana Housing Finance Agency has announced a “Lightning Round” to allocate returned GO Zone and per capital low-income housing tax credits in a new funding cycle. About $17.1 million in GO Zone and per capita credits is available. (Application deadline: August 12, 2008).
