  NCAHMA is convening our 2010 Affordable Housing Underwriting Conference & Annual Meeting at the Doubletree Hotel Chicago Magnificent Mile in Chicago, IL on October 5-6, 2010. Online conference registration and hotel reservations is now open. This meeting focuses on key affordable housing development, underwriting and market study issues. The program will include a mix of program updates, roundtable discussions, market analysis updates and networking events. The event is open to members and non-members alike and is designed particularly for affordable housing professionals including market analysts, developers, debt and equity underwriters, appraisers, and government officials. We are planning our curriculum and would like to solicit your input. • IPED's Renewable Energy 101: Tapping into New Sources of Energy and Money for Housing and Community Development Projects

  Date: 09/21 - 09/22

  Through sophisticated presentations by industry leaders, Renewable Energy 101 will arm attendees with the information they need to determine the best renewable energy source for their housing and/or community development projects, as well as offer insight regarding how to secure financing for such projects through government incentives and private sources. Discussions will include the pros and cons of available renewable energy products, highlighting successful projects throughout the country using various renewable energy sources will also be featured. Often it's difficult to wade through the flood of information disseminated about renewable energy. Renewable Energy 101 will hone in on the differences between the various energy sources and provide practical solutions and answers to help you tap into the best renewable energy source for your housing or community development project.
